Another set by Sembo and another pleasant surprise.
Ordered at AE XI WU Blocks Store during summer sale with coupons and coins, so just 10.31 Eur for 466 pcs Sembo set. 14 days to the EU.
To my knowledge, despite the set belongs to the Wandering Earth franchise, it's not connected to the movie, but rather to the mobile game of the same name. Nevertheless, the set clearly belongs to the same universe and corresponds to the tech shown in the movie.
Relaxed building took about 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Brick quality: as always, Sembo uses GoBricks, so the quality is perfect. However, there are also many special moulded parts this time, mainly for weapons but also for some decorations. Nevertheless, their quality is also great, easy to cut of without any tools and visible marks, and they connects among themselves and with building bricks without any issues. I also found some completely new interesting pieces among the "usual" building bricks. The ball-joints in the arms has special rubber pads and this is truly great idea, I wish every ball-joint had them. 10/10.
Design: the end result looks fantastic and is very stable, you can even make it stand on one leg. It was an interesting build with some new and clever techniques, I believe the main designer is a very talented in what he/she does. However, there ARE some decorations that can fall off - one on each leg, 2 on the body, 4 on each arm. The ones on the legs are hard to avoid so I'm thinking about adding some nail polish to them. 8/10. I appreciate the techniques and design, but there are just too many pieces that can be annoying.
Stickers/prints: disappointment after the last Sembo set that had none of them. At least there are not too many of them. Not transparent as I'd expect from Sembo, and colour matching is Lego-level (i.e. - not very good), quality is decent unless you make a mistake. Then a sticker "cracks" in places it was peeled off. It's not really visible, just with the certain angle, but still. Some smaller pieces are printed. Some stickers covers 2 pieces. 7/10.
Instructions: simple and perfectly clear, no mistakes and easy to follow. There are even warnings for similarly looking pieces. 10/10.
To conclude, a great Wandering Earth set with interesting building techniques, 35/40.
